What's preventing YOU from stopping meeting attendance?
by nicolaou inwe all 'exit' in our own way and at our own pace but i'm curious, why carry on stuffing yourself into that stiff suit and tie or meeting dress years after you realised the truth about 'the truth'?.
they kept you a prisoner, what's stopping you from leaving now that you have the key to your own cell?.
loved ones?

Is it possible to decline preaching in the carts?
by Skepsis inhi folks,.
i have a difficult dilemma.
since i'm not pioneering any more, i'm reducing my hours wasted at that artifact known as cart or trolley.

when is a cart not a cart ?------answer--when its gone! you cant be a cart witness person without a cart--sooo
write a for sale sign--say---$10---tape it to the cart. go for a coffee break.
cart is now gone! no more cart witnessing.
job done!

A question for those who still go to the meetings
by no-zombie inand it is ... why do most at the hall prefer to sit at the back and leave front rows empty?.

Almost none of these people really want to be there.
i wonder what the percentage is--those that dont want to be there...what a rotten indictment of failing religion.

Smelly WATCHTOWERS
by Zoos inin 1967 i had the misfortune of being born with a watchtower stuck in my ass.
it took 45 years for me to realize, "hey!
there's a watchtower stuck in my ass!

do you think if a person send a request for a study to head office----does the referral go to the nearest congregation--who then give it to specific dubs to follow up? thus taking it away from the muppet staffing the cart ?

its my understanding if a member of the public go to a trolley-keeper and show interest---the person is given a leaflet and / or directed to the watchtower website.
what happens if the person then takes it further--and asks for a bible study ? how does the process then take over ?

I really hate the word "ones".
by schnell innecessary as it is at times, i hate this word.
for one thing, "ones" is a plural form of the number 1. that is dumb, and it's reason enough to avoid it where it isn't entirely necessary.. one could argue that it never is necessary, but it can still come up in colloquial dialogue when discussing objects.
jw leaders use it to discuss people.. interestingly, jws even did this to jesus christ in their own translation of the bible, referring to him in ephesians 1:7 with "through the blood of that one" where another translation would say something like "through his blood".

i think the same way as "we"
as in--"as a JW , do you believe in ****"
reply "--no--WE believe *****"
it sounds defensive--exclusive..

When The Persecution Comes
by cofty inwhen i was young everybody used to fantasise constantly about how brave we would all need to be "when the persecution comes".
we worried about what "they" would do to us and how we would never talk or betray other jws.
psychologically it was a damaging environment for children; but maybe that's another topic.. who would have thought that when it finally came it would take the form of being sued for protecting pedophiles.
